Situ\u00e9 dans la constellation du Cygne \u00e0 quelque 4000 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re de nous, il s&rsquo;\u00e9tend sur une dizaine de degr\u00e9s carr\u00e9s. L&rsquo;ensemble figure dans le catalogue Sharpless sous l&rsquo;appellation Sh2-103 ; la partie du r\u00e9manent situ\u00e9e \u00e0 gauche de l&rsquo;image est r\u00e9pertori\u00e9e sous les num\u00e9ros NGC6992 et NGC6995, alors que la partie en bas \u00e0 droite porte le num\u00e9ro NGC6960.<br><br>L&rsquo;image ci-dessous est le r\u00e9sultat d&rsquo;une mosa\u00efque effectu\u00e9e dans la r\u00e9gion plaisiroise avec un \u00ab\u00a0smart t\u00e9lescope\u00a0\u00bb, en l&rsquo;occurence un mod\u00e8le Vespera de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Vaonis (50 mm d&rsquo;ouverture pour une focale de 200 mm), \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&rsquo;un filtre dual band.
