Les tr\u00e8s longs filaments appel\u00e9s QRF pour Quiet Region Filaments sont moins lumineux que le disque en H-alpha. On peut en voir 2 tr\u00e8s longs. Ils ont des formes tr\u00e8s vari\u00e9es. Au niveau des r\u00e9gions actives (taches solaires), on peut voir aussi des filaments plus fins : il s&rsquo;agit des ARF, A pour Active. En d\u00e9calant la longueur d&rsquo;onde centrale d&rsquo;observation en H-alpha, on peut ainsi mettre en \u00e9vidence le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne. Ce d\u00e9centrage en longueur d&rsquo;onde vaut &#8230; 0,5 Angstr\u00f6m !
