Situ\u00e9e \u00e0 815 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re, elle mesure environ 5 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re de long. Elle fait partie du r\u00e9manent de supernova de la constellation des Voiles, visible dans l&rsquo;h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud. L&rsquo;explosion de la supernova aurait eu lieu il y a 11000 ans, propulsant la mati\u00e8re de l&rsquo;\u00e9toile \u00e0 10 000 km\/s.
